Fall 2008 and spring 2009 Bike to Work/School Day Announced

Attention cyclists!  Please mark you calendars!  Fall 2008 Bike to Work School Day is scheduled for Thursday, October 2nd.  Spring 2009 Bike to Work/School Day is scheduled for Thursday, May 14th.  Fall 2008 Bike to Work participants who register at our FREE breakfast sites or on our website (coming soon!) are eligible to win $500 cash.  For more information contact us at 831.426.5925 x 128.  See you there!

The 21st Annual Bike Week was a success! 

During Bike Week a total of 6,000 residents rode over 34,000 miles, thus preventing 34,000 pounds of CO2 from entering the atmosphere!  On Bike to Work/School Day alone we had over 5,000 participants who cycled to receive their free breakfast. Thank you to everyone who biked and volunteered for this community tradition.  See you in the fall!

Santa Cruz County Bike To Work/School Day is a community-wide effort, providing public education, and incentives based effort to promote bike commuting. Besides the traditional great Bike Week events we have added new safety activities for beginners bike commuters.

Our programs are fun, informative and inclusive!
